Nina Assam

Nina is a London-based professional photographer and founder of Soora and Product & Packshot Pix, with over 26 years’ experience working across commercial, lifestyle and brand photography. Known for her ability to create striking, story-led imagery, Nina brings both technical expertise and a highly intuitive, people-focused approach to her work.

At the start of her photography career, Nina spent several years working as a photographer in the travel industry with leading brands including First Choice, Sovereign Holidays, TUI, Elegant Resorts and Bridge Travel. This background not only shaped her deep appreciation of culture and place, but also gives her a highly experienced understanding of light, atmosphere and how environments influence visual storytelling.

Fluent in Arabic and experienced in working with a wide range of people, Nina has a unique ability to connect with locals and subjects, creating authentic photographic opportunities that go beyond the surface. Her warm, friendly and adaptable nature puts people instantly at ease, making her a natural guide and mentor.

As a workshop leader, Nina combines hands-on photography tuition with a supportive, encouraging style, helping participants build confidence, develop their creative eye, and capture meaningful images while fully immersing themselves in the experience. She lives in SW London with her two grown up young men and her three legged cat – Smokey Joe.
