It's not easy to write about yourself without sounding like you’re showing off, but here goes. I was born in Baghdad. My parents made the biggest and (what turned out to be) the best decision of their lives and emigrated to Britain. I was five years old. My first love was dancing, I wanted to be a pro... but my amazing big brother bought me a Pentax SLR for my 15th birthday and my second love affair in photography began. After a colourful career in advertising, I finally took the plunge to become a professional photographer. That was 15 years ago and I have never looked back. You can look at my client list to see who I’ve worked for, but I can tell you that I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively with my job, met lots of interesting people, and created some magical and inspiring moments. And as one client said, “Nina has that rare balance of being a talented and detailed photographer, but one who can work WITH people and not just FOR them”.
